Millionaire Wins Xmas Casino Bet

A high roller in Las Vegas hit the jackpot over the Christmas holidays, walking away with more than $1 million after placing a single bet at a popular casino.

The unidentified gambler put down just $100 on a wager that the Pittsburgh Steelers would cover the spread in their game against the Houston Texans.

The Steelers duly obliged, winning by a touchdown and handing the fortunate punter a payout of $1,073,000.

It is not known if the millionaire immediately cashed out his winnings or opted to take advantage of the casino's famously generous comps policy and enjoy some free luxury accommodations and dining during his stay in Sin City.

This isn't the only big win to have come from a NFL game this season - in October, another high roller walked away with almost $1.5 million after betting on the Detroit Lions to beat the Green Bay Packers.
